Tecno Launched N3 Android Dual Phone in Kenya

N3, Tecno's Android Dual SIM Phone is now available in the Kenyan market selling at Ksh 8,000 in most retail outlets in Nairobi

The mobile phone manufacturer launched the new Android phone as a joint venture with Qualcomm. Tecno's N3 contains two SIM ports, one for a 3G connection and the other for a 2G EDGE connectivity.

It runs on Android 2.3.5 OS and sports a 3.5 inch touch screen and a 3.0 megapixel camera. The Android phone also delivers about 3.5 hours of talk time with its 1,400 milliampere hour battery. N3 comes in various back covers including white, black, blue, yellow, green and pink. The device features 1 Gh Qualcomm Snapdragon S1 processor. It also has up to 32 GB expandable memory. Tecno offers an 8 GB memory card for every phone purchased.

The Android Dual Phone is also equipped with a 512 MB RAM. However, although Tecno indicates that it has 512 MB internal storage, initial devices seems to only provide 175 MB storage for mobile applications.

Unlike other Android phones available which holds preloaded apps into its internal memory, Tecno N3’s preloaded applications are stored in the mobile's memory card enabling users to easily uninstall apps they do not need.

According to the Android manufacturer, Tecno, N3 devices will come out with preloaded with Palm Chat and Flash Share. User can use Palm Chat to exchange Instant Messaging with contacts between two Android phones by shaking them the phone, while Flash Share uses Wi-Fi for file sharing and users can do this by dragging the files to the other phones.

The company plans of introducing more Android phones towards the year ends or early next year.
